Preparing a Will
We can help you prepare a will and ensure it is properly witnessed and executed so that your property is distributed in accordance with your wishes on your death. We will also advise you of any legal implications which may flow from how you wish your affairs to be dealt with after your death.
We can arrange for a solicitor to travel to your home to have your will executed if you live in County Galway.
Probate
After death we can prepare the necessary papers to take out a Grant of Probate (where there is a will) or Letters of Administration (where someone dies without making a will) and will explain the legal effects of each situation. These are the documents which allow someone to deal with the deceased’s affairs.
We will also be able to advise you if it is necessary to apply for a grant as it is not always necessary.
We will guide the deceased’s personal representative thorough the administration procedure and advise them on any tax implications which may arise and apply for certificates of discharge to enable the personal representative to deal with the property of the deceased.
Out of office hours appointments available.
